Die Design

Die Design

We specialize in designing progressive stamping dies up to 96″ in length. In designing our dies, we look for opportunities to improve efficiency—both in our material use, and in the number of parts that can be produced from each die. Our engineering team will work with yours to provide responsive design feedback for feasibility and cost, and to accommodate any design changes quickly.

Capabilities

  • Press Tonnage from 100 to 330 Tons
  • Press Speeds up to 250 Strokes per Minute
  • Bed Lengths from 1200mm to 2400mm

Advantages

  • Multi-Out, Family, and Offal Designs to maximize material utilization and minimize cost.
  • In Die Tapping, In Die Part Insertion, Hybrid Progressive/Transfer Dies
  • Close collaboration with tooling build department

Assembly System Design

Our process engineers work closely with our die designers to fully understand the specifications of the final stamped product and develop custom assembly solutions tailored to the next stage of manufacturing. Whether it involves robotic arms welding components, fully automated cells managing multiple assembly operations, or manual workstations for specialized tasks, we design flexible systems that adapt to your specific production needs.

Capabilities

  • Low volume manual assemblies
  • High volume fully automated systems
  • Robotics
  • Bowl Feeding
  • Machine Vision

Advantages

  • Ability to find optimal solutions for both low volume and high volume assemblies.
  • Quality ensured with built in poka yoke and automated inspections.
  • Flexible solutions designed to accommodate future variants and design changes.

Forming FEA

We utilize advanced Forming FEA simulation software support rapid iteration for forming station design prior to committing to hard tooling. Our FEA capabilities allow us to assess part manufacturability early in the design process, evaluate material stress across critical thresholds, and optimize die layouts for maximum efficiency and reliability.

Capabilities

  • Analyze stress and strain
  • Anticipate material thinning, thickening, and wrinkling
  • Anticipate potential failure risks

Advantages

  • Find manufacturability issues before cutting steel on new tooling.
  • Rapidly evaluate potential designs for feasibility and provide feedback.
  • Reduce the number of prototyping iterations to get to a final design.

We uphold an unwavering commitment to maintaining our engineering expertise in house.

The market moves fast and we maintain a team that is ready to move fast with it. When your product launch team can’t wait on answers due to tight timelines, our team is ready to support with rapid feedback and robust manufacturing solutions.
